Counsellor in Training

Hi, I'm Sam.

I hold an undergraduate degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy and am currently studying a Master’s degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I chose an integrative approach to counselling because I believe we are all a beautifully unique combination of biology, past experiences, culture, and the personal meaning we’ve made of our journeys, and this uniqueness is constantly evolving. With that in mind, I wanted to offer each person a tailored experience. Integrative training allows me to draw from a range of tools depending on what your unique self needs. Because I believe no single method fits all, being integrative gives me the flexibility to adapt our work depending on the challenges you bring, whether that means empowering growth, addressing root causes, or offering a space to be heard.

Engaging in therapy myself was a life-changing experience and inspired me to train in this field. I now strive to offer others the same transformative space.

One of the core values I hold, both personally and professionally, is being non-judgmental. I believe deeply in offering a space where you can bring all parts of yourself without fear of being judged or misunderstood. I see therapy as a collaboration between two people, built on trust, compassion, and mutual respect.

A little bit about me to end…I’m passionate about mental health both inside and outside the therapy room, and I enjoy continuous learning, often through podcasts, books, or new research. I love new experiences, quality time with my dog, eating out, holidaying, spending time in nature, catching up with friends and family, prioritising my physical and mental well-being, and winding down with a cosy night in.
